Where do I get cheep dance shoes?

I%26#039;m an amateur musical theater actress and every time I%26#039;ve had a dance audition I%26#039;ve done it in socks or bare feet. After coming home from my last audition, feet throbbing as usual, I decided it was time I invested in some good dance shoes. My mom said she would pay for them if they aren’t too expensive and I don%26#039;t exactly have a job yet so can someone kindly tell me where I can find a good pair for a decent price? Thanks so much (from me and my feet =:] )

Where do I get cheep dance shoes?
Get a pair of jazz shoes. They are the typical theatre performer shoes. You can move freely around them like they aren%26#039;t there, but they support your feet great so they don%26#039;t ache.

Jazz shoes are pretty cheap most of the time, normally ranging from $20 to $40. You shouldn%26#039;t always go for the cheapest shoe out there, mind you. Unlike regular walking shoes, they don%26#039;t cost more just because they are popular or brand name. It is usually priced by quality.

I recommend to not buy online. Try and find a nearby dance store. It is more reliable that way. Capezio is a great place for dance shoes. Try their store locator.

Reply:Don%26#039;t skimp on dance shoes. I know that you don%26#039;t want your mother to pay a lot. How about you ask her how much she can afford and then offer to do odd jobs around the house or for your neighbors to pay the difference. If she is willing to pay $50 and the pair you want is twice that then just offer to babysit, mow lawns, take garbage out to the curb, sweep footpaths, weed gardens, etc. until you have saved up the other $50.

It is worth the investment to get a pair of quality shoes. You may think that buying a pair of cheap shoes will at least keep your bare feet from throbbing after an audition. On the contrary. Odds are you will end up not only with throbbing feet but a blister or worse.

Invest in the shoes that you not only want but need. Your feet will thank you.
Reply:go to discountdancesupplies.com, and browse through their %26quot;clearance sale%26quot; section. i got 1 pair of ballet shoes for only $17, when in retail price it%26#039;s usually $50! gud luck!
Reply:discountdance.com rocks my socks off! (And, hopefully, yours too!) As a dancer of 9 years at a studio , this is where I get most of my shoes. A tan jazz shoe would be best because they work for lyrical, jazz, and ballet. They have a wide variety, and great prices. Hope that helps :)
